Feverish Imaginary Figments
There are no homosexuals in Iran, therefore Iran has no problem with the presence of homosexuals. Yet the death penalty applies for Iranians whose sexual-gender orientation does not reflect that of the majority. Just in case, should one assume there are any around. Those unfortunate enough to have been identified aren't around, either, since corporal punishment most certainly is one kind of prescription for curing the abomination in the eyes of Islam. There are also no assassins in Iran. None whatever. For whom would they attempt to eradicate? Mind, it has long been an honourable tradition and a custom within Islam, to do away with the inconvenient presence of infidels, apostates, and also competing arbiters of true Islamic values. Were there any individuals or groups with an unfortunate penchant toward assassinating identified individuals, who would their target be?
Certainly not Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, nor the leading lights of the Republican Guard, nor yet the irrepressible prankster, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. No targets, no assassins. Someone, quite obviously, as was explained by the state-run Al Alam TV channel, was simply overcome with joy at the presence of the President in Hamadan, and "cheered" the event by tossing off a firecracker.
The act of an excited "fan" of the president. A home-made bomb? Perish the very thought. "No such attack happened", according to the state-run Press TV, and the official IRNA news agency claimed the "firecracker did not hurt anyone, and did no damage." Thank heavens for that, right? But those were the amended reports, the unofficial ones unadvisedly repeated the canard that the president had been (gasp!) attacked.
Since then the report has been removed. No grenade. Sorry folks. However, in the event that there was possibly something more powerful than a firecracker that had been detonated and which injured people travelling in the convoy, creating confusion and panic, it was without doubt the "Zionist" forces in Israel that were responsible.
Pity, that lack of accurate aim.
