Disgraceful Conduct

Hard to believe, especially for naive people who value intelligence and reason that someone so self-absorbed and arrogantly sanctimonious could conceivably be taken seriously as a potential contender for the presidency of the United States. People worship him as a celebrity because of his wealth and his street-smarts as a high-octane entrepreneur. They tend to overlook his abrasive assertiveness and his pretentiousness in awe of his money-making skills.

And this man is now set to proclaim himself available to contest the Republican nomination for the presidency. His penchant for portraying himself as a insufficiently-appreciated man of good taste and impeccable lineage in the corporate world, as an entrepreneur par excellence, deserving of the worship of the masses only makes his decision to offer himself up as a potential president more outrageously absurd.

When he reveals himself as a small-minded, mean-spirited, somewhat racist bungler, he gets away with it. The clue to the man's intelligence quotient is his comfort in asserting his "birther" doubts about the legitimacy of President Barack Obama's American birthright. The red-neck mentality that his suits and his wealth cannot hide out in full view when he demands that the president offer for the scrutiny of all doubters his full long-form birth certificate.

The document, posted and presented, copies handed out to reporters, to prove that he was born at Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, now, according to Trump, has to be certified as genuine. And after that, proof must be sought that Barack Obama really did study at Harvard Law School. Because blacks, after all, especially those with a Kenyan background in their heritage, could not conceivably graduate magna cum laude.

Much less aspire to sit in the Senate, and from there springboard amazingly to the Oval Office. Born in the U.S. of A. and possessed of the academic qualifications he claims to have achieved, but the legitimacy of which is questioned by a man of merely tolerable academic qualifications, born with a leg-up in the world of corporate America with all the wealth required to make him an even richer man. This is his entitlement to question the veracity of an honourable man.

Many may question, with full justification, Barack Obama's decision-making and choices in surrounding himself with advisers of questionable merit and talent, along with the direction in which he has chosen to take his country, but his commitment to and love for his country are not in question. In their drive to bring doubt to the truth of Obama's background those Republicans and particularly the Tea Party types are themselves guilty of a gross violation of the facts.

And they shame their country, while painting themselves in the black pointed hoods of the KKK.
