"Step"ping "on the United States"
The flowery, flounced, eastern-embroidered braggadocio of the Middle East also permits outright lies and deceptions to colour the belligerent celebrity of their announcements. It obviously represents a heady brew for the Iranian Ayatollahs and Revolutionary Guard who simply cannot resist succumbing time and again to the triumphalism of assertions that they have miraculously performed miracles of commission.Lately, while things have not gone at all well for Iran, with various assassinations of key nuclear physicists, and mysteriously-sourced explosions that have targeted the state's Revolutionary Guard missile installations, and dispatching in the process their key missile expert, along with the computer worms that have slowed down their nuclear enrichment and other processes, there have been 'successful' events they've crowed about, to the world.
Boasting and threatening are key components of Iran's gifts to the world of diplomacy heard and witnessed in action. Their recent revelations that their proxy militia Hezbollah in Lebanon has unearthed the presence of spy cameras, and the existence of Western-allied spies, along with Iran's own proud admission that they have detected and arrested internally-sourced espionage agents working for the CIA, has emboldened them greatly.
As though they really need that kind of encouragement to convince themselves that they are entitled, by Islamist decree blessed by Allah, if not by universal global consent through the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency, to proceed apace with their nuclear agenda. Now, the Iranian military has unveiled its success in, according to them, shooting down an RQ-170 Sentinel drone.
This American technology in advanced imagery collection and electronic intercepts, capable of evading radar detection, has a distinct purpose quite other than the attack drones being used in places like Afghanistan and Pakistan, to demolish the plans of terrorist Taliban. The Sentinel's purpose is strictly intelligence gathering, capable of interception communications as well.
The two states in the United Nations permanent Security Council membership of five, Russia and China, are anxiously imploring Iran's permission to permit their technologists to inspect the Sentinel drone, one of the world's most powerful technical intelligence assets. It's more than likely they'll be allowed this privilege, given their support of the Iranian Republic's sovereignty within the UN.
Tensions between the other three Security Council members; the United States, Britain and France and the allies of Iran have long been an impediment to a resolution through the enforcement of sanctions, that might persuade Iran to back off its nuclear program clearly meant for the development nuclear warheads.
Iraninan state television displayed what it said was a downed U.S. surveillance drone on Thursday, days after U.S. officials expressed concern that Tehran would be able to glean information about a classified military program.
