The Muslim Brotherhood has for years been busy with its agenda to ensure its benign presence as a Muslim benevolent society in the West is recognized, disarming government by its reasonableness, and espousing the cause of fairness and justice and equality and respect for Muslims within Western democracies. Presenting itself as a spokesgroup in its various arms for Muslims to have the right to be Muslims with all that being Muslims entails; if that means especial dispensations to accommodate Muslim needs it does so with alacrity.

In fact, its familiarity with Western law and equality of opportunity and assurances of equality stand them in good stead, for in fact all they're doing is supporting and insisting on only what is right and fair in the accommodation of Muslim interests. They have infiltrated themselves at all levels of Western society and within government, a universal voice of moderation and good fellowship, their agenda out in the open and nothing to hide; much. That's the visible side of the Muslim Brotherhood, a society dedicated to good works and spreading the kindness of Islam.

The nether side of the Brotherhood ideology, the dedication to pure Islam as it was introduced to an unwilling world that had to learn to submit through the process of scimitar-wielding conquest is not on view for public consumption. But the commissioned British study of its impact and its purpose in the aid of helping the British government "to improve the government's understanding of the Muslim Brotherhood", has delved deep and has ascertained much that is not discernible to the unenquiring eye.

That report identified the Brotherhood's mission and the graduation of its presentation as a non-threatening presence to what the report concludes is its end goal of achieving "a Caliphate under Shariah law", identifying its "highly ambiguous relationship with violent extremism". The report also points out those groups with association to the Brotherhood; their purpose to "represent Muslim communities" within the United Kingdom. As well as the Brotherhood's purpose to "represent Muslim communities'" interests in the U.K.

Prime Minister Cameron's forthright statements reflecting his understanding of the international tentacles and their purpose are in stark contrast to the statements issuing from the U.S. White House and the Obama administration which has wholly supported the Muslim Brotherhood, opting to disengage itself from the Hosni Mubarak Egyptian presidency, and approving the ascension of the Brotherhood's replacement presidential candidate Mohammed Morsi in his stead. Disapproving of the removal of Morsi by popular Egyptian demand and the installation of the current President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

President Obama speaks of everything but Islamist jihad; his preferred descriptive is "violent extremism" which of course has no connection whatever to Islam, other than tangentially. His resorting to "root causes" of dissent and unrest, causing people to rise up against unfairness in society, against poverty and general distress, resulting in unfortunate violence excuses Islam from any responsibility for the appearance of the Taliban, al-Qaeda, the PLO, Black September, the al-Nusra Front, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, let alone the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

As for the Republic of Iran, it is simply and unfortunately misunderstood. But the Obama administration understands Iran sufficiently to give it ample opportunity to rev up its sanctions-mothballed nuclear programs, and shrug indifferently about its advanced missiles development. Iran's meddling in the Arab world, as a Persian Aryan nation aspiring to become once again the region's dominant influence, is simply realpolitik in the Middle East.

As is, of course, "God is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse on the Jews, Victory to Islam", and of course "Allahu Akbar!", that great declaratory paean of vengeance while dealing a death blow to the kuffars, the unbelievers, the infidels, the Jews and the Crusaders. All of which is to say that Islam is embattled, it must respond to the dire and desperately ugly aspirations of the collective West to destroy Islam.

If Islamophobia did not exist, then all would be well between Islam and the world of the unbelievers. But Islam has an obligation to respond to the threats emanating toward it from a hostile non-Muslim world, and in jihad, Islam will prevail. Just ask the Muslim Brotherhood. Besides which, Islam mandates that there be no religion other than Islam, and it is the duty of all Muslims to ensure the spread of Islam by whatever means required for this is the sacred message of jihad.
