Obfuscation of Reality

There's an odd yet explicable balance of greater numbers of Muslims in Europe and North American than ever before, and the re-emergence of anti-Semitism on a scale to match that which began to build in Germany in the 1930s. The two religions, mutually antagonistic, but not mutually balanced in their antagonism. Which does not discount the efforts of some among both religions who extend heroic efforts to attempt to stem the tide of growing antipathy flowing from the Muslim community to the Jewish community.

It has become an embarrassment to many countries in Europe that they have been flooded with migrants from predominately Muslim countries. Muslims who, in fact, are desperate to escape the stultifying, repressive omniscience of Islam in their countries of birth, hoping to find place for themselves and their religion elsewhere, in liberal democratic countries. Where they settle, find themselves the comfort they sought, and then among them arises those who find dissatisfaction in the absence of Shariah law.

Worse, much worse, is the infiltration of the moderate Muslims by the newly-emerging-and-growing minority of viciously fanatic jihadists. Who insist that Muslims engaged with non-Muslims are unworthy, and they become no better themselves than the kuffars, the infidels. Making them targets for jihad just as surely as the crusaders and the Jews are targets. Yet mainstream Muslims cannot find it in themselves to believe that fellow Muslims would maim and murder other Muslims, much yet non-Muslims.

The Netherlands has imposed a more stringent acceptance procedure for immigrants, hoping to stem the tide that has already engulfed their society. Anti-Semitism in the Netherlands is resolutely advancing. This is echoed in France, in Germany, and elsewhere in Europe. In Britain, the Office for National Statistics has found it politically expedient to water down its 'Top 10" baby-naming lists which, if undoctored would disclose Mohammed (in its various manifestations) the single most popular baby name.

In France, police enter the precincts of the Paris suburbs, those infamously incendiary banlieues at their peril. France's minister of the interior indiscreetly joked about Arab-origined French citizens, seen on a video: "When there's one, it's OK. It's when there are a lot of them that there are problems", as he readied himself to pose beside a young French-Arab, for a photograph; politically correct, in the "some of my best friends" mode. Rather reminiscent of tart observations generally reserved for Jews.

A new film, The Third Jihad, has recently been released, narrated by a Muslim American with the opening statement: "This is not a film about Islam. It is about the threat of radical Islam. Only a small percentage of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims are radical. This film is about them." The film is dedicated to the honour of the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks, on its 8th anniversary, produced by HonestReporting.com. and can be seen on its official website: www.TheThirdJihad.com.

There is great exultation in Islamist circles, as they crow about the reality that now confronts the world of the West, inundated by Muslims who are now citizens of the West, and whose procreation will result in the relentless majority-process that will engulf the world in an eventual new reality. By quiet stealth it is ordained that conquest will be accomplished and at that time Islam will be victorious. Or so the new urban legend goes.

As for informed, intelligent Muslim citizens-of-the-world, there are those who view such a scenario as an abhorrent aberration of the social order. Dr. Tawfiq Hamid who speaks of the need for Islamic reformation claims "Islamicism is like cancer; you either defeat it or it will defeat you... the real war is not against a bunch of terrorists but rather of the values of democracy and freedom against the values of barbarism."

And on the other hand, there is Imam Abdul Musa, of Washington, D.C. who speaks his version of reality: "Islam is coming to America the same way Christianity came to Rome ... whether they like it or not. We talk about the Islamic State of North America by 2050. The people of Hamas and Hezbollah are good people; they don't deserve condemnation, they do good things..."

The founder and president of Alliance of Iranian Women, Manda Zand Ervin, asks "When you have Muslims who are willing to kill their own children and wrap a bomb around them (mothers sending their children on suicide missions) what prevents them from killing my children? Or from killing millions of children of other people?

Political correctness and a willingness to see all religions, all traditions and ethnic heritage as being of equal value has permitted a chilling effect to take place, where liberal laws have been enacted enabling Islamist sympathizers to sue those who celebrate their freedom to speak by pointing out the reality of Islamism. In effect, shutting down the free speech provision for critics of fanaticism, on the accepted vision that criticism is "offensive" to Islam.

Wealthy Muslims who support fundamentalist Islam endow university chairs in prestigious North American and European universities, enabling them to receive government funding to amend school curricula and textbooks that have a formula of their own, clarifying issues in a manner that clearly benefits a new understanding of the sensitivities of Islam, and the rights and entitlements of Muslims, altering historical realities to reflect another kind of reality.

And recruitment of new conscripts to the holy war of jihad called upon by this militant interpretation of Islam to fill the ranks of ever-growing Western-born malcontents, seething with resentment over their historical victimization by the West, as Muslims, grows apace. Inclusive of the recruitment of Muslim prison inmates, some newly-recruited, ripe and ready to demonstrate their rejection of all values dear to the West, for those of true Islam.

The film narrator urges involvement, education, and workable alternatives must be sought and employed. Above all, to put a cap on the oil-fuelled spread of Islamist fanaticism. That the news media stop and think about what they're repeating from questionable sources that political correctness gives value to. That children be protected from exposure to the false and evil ideology rampant in the world of Islamist grievance and entitlement. That the spread of Sharia be halted, and human rights be the standard, extended to Islamic countries.

Good luck to all of that.
