Divinely Guided, Inspired, Dedicated
Al-Qaeda in its various and many manifestations has an ongoing message for the non-Muslim community - your insolent dismissal of Islam will be answered in powerfully destructive messages of jihad. Its message to the Islamic ummah is - join the international struggle against Western imperialism that casts intolerable slurs on Islam.Islamic jihad, wherever it raises its banner and directs its adherents to display the wrath of Islam, has high approval for the quality of its battle-preparedness in the name of Allah, from among the dispersed community.
Countries like Spain, France, Germany, England, Denmark, Holland, Australia, the United States and Canada for example, with their burgeoning and growing Muslim communities host the potential to encourage their own home-grown jihadists. It is not merely attacks from dedicated jihadists surreptitiously making their appearance in the West that must be detected, but violence-ready recruits born in the West.
Countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Lebanon, India, Somalia, Sudan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Iraq and China, with their indigenous Muslim populations who harbour fanatics engaged with the splendid opportunities given them to die as blessed martyrs for Islam, must remain vigilant lest they too experience carnage on a scale hitherto only dimly envisaged.
The intelligence services, the secret police, the military and their academic advisers; theologians and news media, all conspire to protect their societies from the depredations of fantasizing jihadists, revelling in the spilling of blood, confident of their value to the war on imperialism, infidels, apostates, crusaders, impostors, and those who seek to slander Islam with their evil libels.
They know that it is only a matter of the passage of time before the tentacles of their reach will predominate and result in a universal shariah. The violence, so deplored by so many, still elicits a good degree of approval from the millions of Muslims living in non-Muslim countries. For the viciousness of the violence, while unfortunate in some respects, is conducted in support of Islam.
The Islamic populations living in Western, Christian-majority countries (a tired religion, one that no longer has a firm grasp on its adherents) subscribe to the reality that their numbers will increase, through emigration, procreation, successful missionizing, and that they will be in the ascendancy, bringing the clarity and passion and peace of Islam to all.
In the meanwhile, punishment should be meted out to those who offend Islam. (They, the great ummah, forget that they too, in the laxness of their adherence to Islamic proscription and prescription, seeking advantage in the great dispersal, are suspect and as such, easily swept into the general cleansing of those offering offence to Allah.)
