Causes And Their Effects
They're militants, so that's all right, just militants. That must mean they're fed up and they're not going to take it any more. Thank the heavens above that they're not terrorists. Because terrorists and Islamist jihadists - all too often one and the same - are truly serious. They're out to perform wholesale slaughter. Atrocities that curdle the blood. Death as a fearsome tool expertly handled and delivered by the dedicated faithful to jihad eager to present as shahids for the greater glory of Islam.But all the neutral, religious-sensitive news outlets describe them as 'militants', so they cannot be terrorists, can they?
Which explains, does it not, why they target those of the opposite and obviously false side of Islam? The sacred interiors of mosques offer no shield of protection to Muslim worshippers whose thoughts are with Allah, never dwelling on the sinister and most unwelcome thought that their pious fellow Muslims are planning at the very moment when they are themselves deepest in prayer, that they have precisely one second more to live.
Men, women and children, all deserving of death for they have submitted falsely.
And the heritage city of Baghdad in the ancient geography of Iraq becomes, yet again, a blood-soaked, carnage-ravaged graveyard for those who so recently regained their trust in a government which claims to represent them all fairly and justly, but just cannot manage to get itself in governing order.
Eager to see the final departure of American troops, and to take charge of their full sovereignty, the country lapses into disintegrating enclaves of hatred.
Al-Qaeda in Iraq, comprised of non-Iraqi Arabs conscripted from across the Middle East and the Magreb, dedicated to fanaticism in the name of Islam, targets Sunnis who do not agree with their agenda, but above all, the Shia whose Sadrist Mahdi militias are more than prepared to march themselves on the Sunni sect.
There cannot be too many rotting corpses to satisfy the anger and blood-lust.
All in the name of Islam. Of Sharia, and of bringing to the world a version of Islam that most of its followers appear ignorant of, since they insist on describing their beloved religion as one of world peace. But it is world domination, revenge and hatred that motivates and energizes the slaughter of ordinary Muslims, of Christians and Jews. Kurds and Hindus also, and Buddhists, for the conflict is all-encompassing.
If not Iraq, then Pakistan. If not Pakistan, then Afghanistan. If not Afghanistan, then Iran. If not Iran, then Lebanon. If not Lebanon, then Syria.
Let us not, ever, however, forget the entity that is responsible for all this vibrantly vicious blood-letting and unforgiving hatred: implacably Zionist Israel.
