Granting Legitimacy to Racism
Difficult though it is to believe, the United Nations is preparing itself for yet another debacle, posing as a human-rights-asserting initiative. One that has devolved from the original 2001 conference on "anti-racism" that took place in Durban, South Africa. Where the leaders of the countries of the world whose morals exist in a deep, dark dungeon of their minds had free sway to target, slander and isolate one single country. The irony, which could have been lost on no one, was that the exceptional treatment meted out to that one single country is a nation comprised of and for the protection of world Jews. And if any ethnic, religious, social group in the world can truthfully and historically claim to be the victims of racism, it is world Jewry. Yet, out of Durban's UN-sponsored 'anti-racism' conference came the triumph of proclaiming Israel a racist, genocidal state.
During that conference, when the most egregious human-rights-abusing countries of the world held top honours as organizers and leading panel members, the agenda was fixated totally on supporting Arab and Muslim atrocities against Israel, as the meting out of just resistance toward an oppressive, genocide-planning regime that intended to rob Palestinians of their land and slaughter them in the process.
The Durban Declaration and Programme of Action delineating the counter-reality that Palestinians are victims of Israeli racism is not dead, and will be resurrected to be celebrated and heralded yet again as a triumph of 'anti-racism', courtesy of the United Nations and its Human Rights Commission's virtuous platform in support of Islamism in all its forms.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Libyan leader, Moammar Ghaddafi, their fervent supporters and coevals in the world of human-rights-abusing states abounding throughout the Globe are set to have yet another field day. Planning for the third round is underway. Durban III is set to take place in New York.
New York, the commercial hub of the United States, that metropolis famously labelled "Hymietown" by Reverend Jesse Jackson. If the conference whose only agenda item of note is to condemn, harass and isolate Israel cannot be held in Israel, it will be held in that very place known to contain a huge founding Jewish population. The equivalent of home invaders contemptuously marauding and despoiling the home interior.
Invitations are going out to the same 'anti-racism' NGOs that had disported themselves at the original Durban I. To be present, and to "participate fully in the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action (defence of the Palestinians, accusations of genocide against Israel)...[and] invites [civil society] to organize various initiatives to commemorate ... the adoption of the DDPA with high visibility."
At Durban II, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland and the United States boycotted the proceedings. Britain and France, Spain and Portugal, Greece and other countries no doubt felt it would be preferable to be present, to lend their weight to objecting to the solid mass of the Muslim congress and their supporters...?
The position of the Obama administration for this round of scintillating anti-Semitism, and that of the European Union will be of immense interest as the plans unfold. The sun will stand on the horizon, refusing to set should the United Nations recognize and act upon its true mandate and refuse to allow this travesty to unfurl its sinister aura any further.
