Once again the world is to be exposed to the real-life, real-time exhibition of its universal moral miasma, where the re-visiting of the UN's member-body World Conference Against Racism will once more demonstrate the moral bankruptcy infesting that world body. Again, literature vilifying Jews in general and Israel in particular - inclusive of Nazi-era caricatures of evil, money-grubbing Jews will be in full prominence.Where 'human rights' groups will be in full attendance close to the formal proceedings, free to hand out copies of Mein Kampf and that other distinguished work of criminal fantasy of Czarist Russia,
The Protocols of the elders of Zion. All meant to feature and underline the contempt with which all things Jewish and particularly a nation of Jews runs contrary to humanity's needs.
United Nations' elite functionaries' statements to the contrary, Durban II is shaping up to reflect the same tediously tendentious agenda next month at the UN headquarters in Geneva. The organizing committee chaired by Libya, and Iran as vice-chair, aided and supported by Cuba, Pakistan and Russia, cannot fail to present as a triumph of universal brotherhood and support of human rights.
The template already set, and seen to have been hugely successful, with few complaints other than the predictable walk-outs by the delegations of the United States and Israel, we can sit back and wait for new revelations about the duplicity and errant brutishness of Israel, the need for erstwhile colonial powers to redeem themselves by monetary redress, and the West in general to humble itself before the angry aggregate of disaffected nations.
Canada took the measured and deliberate and morally responsible initiative to remove herself from validating in any measure the anticipated action of this Durban II. And has since been tainted by the annual re-enactment of its universities hosting "Israel Apartheid Week", the work of Arab and Muslim 'activists' emboldened by the results of Durban I, and supported by the liberal-left and some public union executives.
It seems the world is destined to undergo time and again the travesty of the trampling of efforts to face and defuse human rights abuses and racism in the very countries that practise them, who turn the problem on its head by accusing those countries whose dedication to enlightened humanism and equality and freedoms of expression they accuse of racism and human-rights abuses.
Those exemplars of racism, of intolerance and proponents of violence, leading the free world around by its submissive and complicit nose.
