Questions and Concerns

"You want to have Sa theoretical understanding of the working of a nuclear weapon that is then related to the experiments you do on the various components.  The two go hand-in hand."  David Albright, Institute for Science and International Security
This is an explanation for intelligence recently released by the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency which it has received, detailing the manner in which Ian has moved toward the ability and likelihood of building a nuclear weapon.  Iran has substantially advanced its program on the calculations relating to the destructive power of an atomic warhead.

Using computer models operated within the past three years, the Iranian nuclear agency has begun the completion of its end-run around the IAEA investigators.  Two Western countries, along with Israel and the United States have given their high-level investigative conclusions to the Atomic Energy Agency, which coincides with their own conclusions based on evidence they have collected.

Physical tests of components required for nuclear weapons production are a necessary accompaniment to computer modeling.  And the IAEA is utterly convinced that Iran`s nuclear agency conducted those physical tests at their military base in Parchin.  The Iranian Republic refuses to permit the IAEA inspectors to have access to that base, where they have been busy cleaning up evidence.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano

Computer mock-ups make the assessments of high explosives compressing fissile warhead material for the chain reaction resulting in a nuclear explosion to be set off.  The mock-ups are then complemented by the actual physical testing of the components involved.  Both of which have taken place in tandem.

It is more than obvious that Tehran is playing out its game of stalemating efforts at investigation into its nuclear project, even while it denies it is the least bit interested in such projects.  Yukiya Amano, director general of the IAEA is now insisting his inspectors must have entry for investigative and verification purposes.

Iran remains adamant that this will not happen.  That the West`s insistence that Iran is occupied with bringing its program to a successful conclusion with the manufacture of nuclear warheads is a figment of the fevered imagination, an unfortunate fabrication by U.S., Israeli and other intelligence services, all of whom are paranoid and who have an unfair grudge against Iran.

The Republic denies it is enriching uranium to weapons-grade so they can manufacture the core of nuclear warheads.  Reactor fuel is only what they are interested in, for energy and for medical isotope production.  It is peace, not war-oriented.  It is prepared to lead a strong new impetus for the destruction of all nuclear weapons, world-wide, because it is so committed to world peace and harmony.

Iran`s foreign ministry spokesman Rahmin Mehmanparast declares that his country will respond to the IAEA`s "questions and concerns" once "our rights and security issues" are recognized and adequately addressed.

Check, mates.
