Trudeau: "We strongly condemn this hate and its manifestations"
"Trans people -- they exist in society, and they deserve inclusion, just like everyone else."
"We need to talk to people, teach them the right vocabulary, the proper
words, at an age-appropriate time, in order to explain that inclusion is
a good thing."
"We need to make sure that their trans and queer peers at
school feel welcome."
Trans activist Celeste Trianon
"Transphobia, homophobia, and biphobia have no place in this country."
"We
strongly condemn this hate and its manifestations, and we stand united
in support of 2SLGBTQI+ Canadians across the country -- you are valid
and you are valued."
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
"We know that there are a lot of folks that don't feel safe because of
the rise in hate and division that's targeting vulnerable people."
"But then you see a lot of people coming together, and it shows
the strength of solidarity, of us supporting each other, of having each
other's back."
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh
"I think our parents should become knowledgeable about what their kids
are being taught and what is important for them to learn in schools and
what's important for parents to make decisions on with kids that are
under 16 years old."
New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs
"I don't want them to be educated on whether they are a girl or a boy."
"Let them be what they want to be."
"If he [her son] decides in his life,
when he's an adult, if he wants to change, I'm OK with that."
Jashandeep Dhillon, mother in Regina
"[Children were being] bullied by teachers into changing their pronouns]."
"It's one thing to say, well, we have various people who have different feelings about sexuality."
"It's a different thing to teach everybody that it is perfectly normal,
and that you [the student] should look into that, if it's applicable to
you."

Protests
and counter-protests over LGBTQ school policies took place in Toronto
on Wednesday, with many more happening across the country. The initial
protests were organized under the banner of '1 Million March 4 Children'
to 'protect our children from indoctrination and sexualization,'
according to the group’s website. Counter-protests took place in
response, with thousands gathering at places like Queen’s Park. CBC

Everyone
is invested in the education of society's children, starting with their
parents, and ending with the schools they attend where children in
public schools are trusted to be introduced to and instructed in the
most basic requirements of literacy and numeracy, geography, practical
economics, history and enrichment programs associated with sports,
nature, and social culture. This is all preparation for adulthood, for
children maturing and accepted within their greater society. The stern
educator of long ago demanding instant obedience from his classroom has
long since been replaced by an easy-going instructor encouraging
students to familiarize themselves with themselves.
Where
once unruly children were sent to the principal's office for the
vice-principal to mete out appropriate punishment for anti-social and/or
destructive or disruptive behaviour, it is now verboten. Students whose
classroom performance is mediocre are now encouraged not necessarily to
study more diligently and take part in classroom discussions, but to
consider themselves special and extraordinary. In today's classrooms
students can be disruptive and even physically abusive and face no
penalties. Stories of teachers being assaulted physically and a general
aura of violence have become common. There seem to be no penalties,
children will be children.

sexual orientation and gender identity programs in schools on
Wednesday. (Justin Tang/The Canadian Press) |
"Safety
can't be guaranteed in class; the Elementary Teachers' Federation of
Ontario says three-quarters of its members report having experienced or
witnessed violence committed against colleagues."
"On
Monday, a 14-year-old girl in Whitby, Ontario stabbed another girl in
school, seriously injuring her; meanwhile, in Oshawa, a 12-year-old girl
had to be subdued with a taser after she attacked fellow students and a
teacher with scissors, sending one child to hospital."
Tasha Kheiriddin, journalist, National Post
Parents
over the past several years have become increasingly perturbed over the
agendas in schools their children attend. Where once parents
scrutinized report cards for results, they now wonder what has been
happening with their children as students in public schools when they
read reports of school boards mandating that teachers not reach out to
parents to discuss their child's newly-emerged preference to change
their birth biology by assuming the persona of a gender other than that
they were born with. The child requesting to be addressed with specific
pronouns rejecting their birth gender has the final word.

At
one time students in Canada's public schools were in the high
percentiles of successful learning, passing their grades in
above-average numbers, indicating that the Canadian education system was
in fine form and doing justice to the needs of the active minds of
their students engaged in learning basic academic subjects. That is no
longer true. Canada has distinguished itself of late by being identified
as the sole G7 country whose scores in math and science are "steadily
declining", according to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and
Development, a concerning reality for parents expecting their children
to be properly educated.
What
does now also hugely concern parents of school-age children is the new
acculteration dominating the news of children being encouraged through
the school system to think deeply about their sexual identity; whether
it coincides with their ideas, thoughts, proclivities and orientations.
Boys with girlish tendencies, and girls who emulate boyish behaviour are
now engaged in the kind of introspection that leads them to question
their gender realities, boosted by the literature they are now exposed
to in their school libraries.
Young children are now introduced to aromantic (absence of romantic attraction), asexual (absence of sexual attraction), pansexual (attraction to any gender) or demisexual (attraction requiring an emotional bond)
'normalcies'. The atmosphere in the classroom is one of complete
abandonment of biological determination based in science and nature, in
favour of gender fluidity and the ease with which children can decide
they prefer to alter their gender identification because it's alluring
to them, and fits more neatly into how they perceive themselves after
exposure to the alternatives available to them.
Transitions
in fundamental biology that puzzle their parents and who have finally
come to the conclusion that their role as guardians of their children's
well-being, as nurturers and parents guiding their children into the
future has been taken from them by a school system that cautions
teachers and students not to inform parents of their children's
preferences and decision-making. And so parents, some teachers who
disagree with the system, and other concerned individuals mounted
country-wide protests, called 1 Million March 4 Children.
True
to his infamous virtue-signalling and condemnation of any who disagree
with his social and cultural proclivities, the prime minister of Canada
has denounced these hundreds of thousands of protesting parents as
hateful and racist. Those who protest at school classrooms and libraries
presenting drag queens acting out the theatrics of sexual exhibitionism
and sex change, concerned for the welfare of their children being
exposed to orientations of poor taste and no value, find themselves
being told that there is no place for them in Canada, by their prime
minister.

Beijing's Education Camps in Xinjiang
"There has not been a single case of violent terrorism in the past three years."
"The education and training centers [where a million Turkic Uighurs are incarcerated] are schools that help the people free themselves from terrorism and extremism."
Wang Yi, Chinese Foreign Minister
"Many, many governments are looking the other way and self-censoring on the issue of Xinjiang."
"Few countries are willing to find themselves on the receiving end of Chinese retaliation."
Daniel R. Russel, former U.S. administration official
"If you can't get a discussion on Syria [at the United Nations Security Council] after all these seven years of brutality, of course you can block a discussion on Xinjiang."

Ten years ago Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke of the Uighurs in China as suffering from
"simply put, genocide", referring to their precarious position with the government of China. His point of view has undergone quite a massive change; silent now, the voice of his overwhelmingly Islamist country on the mass incarceration and re-education and forced assimilation of over a million Turkic Muslims in the western region of Xinjiang, China.
His is not the only voice that has been silenced by self-interest. China's vast network of detection camps and its systematic surveillance as the state operates to convert Uighurs to loyal supporters of the Communist Party is well known and silently deplored. Few influential voices are raised in protest, in support of the Uighurs, left to their fate within China. Diplomats, witness to the problems condemn China privately, but publicly it remains a non-issue.
Muslim countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East have all been silenced. They have too much to gain by supporting China, and much to lose by any discussions highlighting China's persecution of Xinjiang Muslims at the United Nations. And nor did President Donald Trump, hosting a special event before the recent General Assembly on protecting religious freedom, mention the Uighurs.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the United Nations, a powerful bloc, has done or said nothing to disrupt its good relations with China. Why rile the dragon when China speaks of the state-mandated detention camps surrounded by high walls to be central to its battle against Islamist extremism? These are mere boarding schools where detainees, voluntarily signing in to them, are the beneficiaries of educational opportunities to become faithful Chinese citizens.
Visiting Beijing soon after the 51 deaths of Christchurch Muslims, New Zealand's prime minister, Jacinda Ardern whose country sells much of its main exports -- milk, meat and wine -- to China, had nothing whatever to say in public, but mentioned a private discussion with President Xi Jinping over Xinjiang. As for Turkey's compliance, a $3.6-billion loan China helped it to secure for energy and transportation made for happy bedfellows.
In Geneva in the summer, close to two dozen mostly Western countries including Japan, signed a joint call to China to close the camps, presented at the UN Human Rights Council. None of the involved countries was willing to be recognized as the organizer; the signers leaned on a procedure allowing the petition to be circulated without identifying a principal leader.
China's response was to prepare a counter-group of 37 nations most friendly to China who were quick to praise China's
"contribution to the international human rights cause". In the interim, Beijing invites select guests to attend circumscribed tours of the detention camps, to impress them with the necessity to engage in positive publicity through these hand-picked visitors including journalists. But there are exceptions.
"I have previously raised Australia's concerns about reports of mass
detentions of Uyghurs and other Muslim peoples in Xinjiang."
"We have consistently called for China to
cease the arbitrary detention of Uyghurs and other Muslim groups. We
have raised these concerns — and we will continue to raise them — both
bilaterally and in relevant international meetings."
Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne

Reason Surrenders to the Passion of Victimhood
"In the last rounds of confrontations, if 62 people were martyred, fifty
of the martyrs were Hamas and 12 from the people."
"How can Hamas reap
the fruits if it pays such an expensive price?"
"I am giving you an official figure. Fifty of the martyrs in the recent battle were from Hamas."
Hamas official Salah Bardawil, Gaza
"Senior Hamas official sets the record straight on who was killed in
last Hamas-orchestrated riots: ‘50 of the 62 martyrs were Hamas. Take his word for it. This was no peaceful protest."
"[The large death
toll at Monday’s Gaza protests] has done us a tremendous disservice. Hamas wanted the casualties."
“Hamas
wanted people to die. Hamas wanted the pictures of the wounded and the
overflowing hospitals ... and they had no problems sending the human
shields forward. That is the sad reality of what we have been facing."
"We haven’t been able to get that message out of how it is from our
side, what we are defending – and the ‘winning picture’ overwhelmingly,
by a knockout, unfortunately, have been the graphics from the
Palestinian side."
"The amount of casualties has done us a tremendous disservice, unfortunately, and it has been very difficult to tell our story."
Lt Col Jonathan Conricus, spokesman, IDF

"We are appalled that Dr. Tarek Loubani, a Canadian citizen, is among the wounded -- along with so many unarmed people, including civilians, members of the media, first responders, and children."
"Reported use of excessive force and live ammunition is inexcusable. It is imperative we establish the facts of what is happening in Gaza."
"Canada calls for an immediate independent investigation to thoroughly examine the facts on the ground -- including any incitement, violence, and the excessive use of force."
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
"In
condemning the Israeli forces, Justin Trudeau ignores the role that the
terrorist organization Hamas has played in inciting these clashes."
"In responding to these events with nothing
but criticism of Israel, Justin Trudeau has failed Canadians on the
international stage once again."
Andrew Scheer, leader, opposition Conservative Party
Lt.-Col. Conricus is right; Hamas's success in persuading Gazan civilians to flood to the border with Israel, to 'return' and claim their purported rights, while planning, should the hordes of peaceful protesters somehow succeed in breaching the border, to have Hamas operatives infiltrate Israel and in the short distance from the border to Jewish communities take advantage of the opportunity to wreak mayhem and slaughter, indulging in their favourite threats made reality; slaughtering Jews is an appalling reality.
But as he points out, the greater plan we to sufficiently rattle and provoke the IDF standing guard at the border points with strict orders to react as any given situation predicated; warning at first, shots overhead later, advance to shoot intruders' extremities to stop their progress, and for those ignoring all warning, seen to be succeeding in their mission to breach the border, shoot to kill. The alternative? A throng of thousands flooding into Israel, among them terrorist Hamas, armed and prepared to kill -- to halt their progress the military would shoot to stop the entire ingress, extinguishing the threat.
Israel can point out that Hamas exists for the sole purpose of the Jewish state's destruction; so its charter points out, and so the terrorist group devotes itself, expending vast sums of international charity meant for Gazan civilians, instead using the funds to build sophisticated underground tunnels, the tunnels foiled finally by the underground fence Israel is building. Countless rockets shot off toward border communities in Israel invited a 2014 counter attack.
Hamas long ago decided its most useful counterattack against IDF reprisals is the orchestration of Palestinian deaths to rivet the world's attention on the martyrdom of civilians caught in a crossfire Hamas had carefully planned.
"It was clear to Israel and now it is clear to the whole world that there was no popular protest. This was an organized mob of terrorists organized by Hamas", noted Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon.
Israel
"won't let those who call for our destruction to breach our borders and to threaten our communities", stated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. To which Bardawil responded, Israel was
"legitimizing the killing of Palestinians just because they are Palestinians or just because they are Hamas, even if they were unarmed and defending their dignity and rights". In Hamas entitled parlance it is dignified to kill Jews, and this is their right. The killing of Hamas terrorists equates with removing a direct and virulently violent threat of death for Israeli civilians.
And although the world knows Hamas is a dedicated terrorist group exalting martyrdom and dedicating itself to destroying Israel, it chooses to view Israel's international right as a sovereign nation protecting its population from those real threats, as disproportional in its determination to prevent any breach of the border. While no other country, critical of Israel's response in deterring a Palestinian influx into Israel auguring ill for its citizens, will ever face such threats, they are at no loss for words condemning Israel.
The despicable condemnation emanating from Canada's preening, autocratic Justin Trudeau eager to show the world that the Canada under other administrations that supported Israel, has turned its back on the Jewish state under his aegis. Knowing that the deaths caused by Hamas inciting Palestinians -- burning Israeli farmfields, lobbing Molotov cocktails at IDF troops, hurling rocks at the military, trundling burning tires into the border fence, hoisting meat cleavers and threatening to kill Jews -- are mostly those of Hamas terrorists, Trudeau nonetheless contemptibly holds Israel to account.
Displaying the shallowness of his cerebral functioning, his lapsed moral compass and his dedication to 'progressive' governance as one who personally embraces the totalitarian nature of social engineering along with the acceptance of nationalist grievances of those considering themselves to be victims seeking to overturn democratic institutions to favour their versions of entitlement. It certainly doesn't stint Trudeau's pleasure in stating opinions geared to please a large voting bloc, happily shedding the prospect of pleasing a much smaller, dispensable one.

Christmas US/Judas Betrayal of Israel
"To understand the severity of [what] the situation is, let us recall that in
the 1950s about 86% of the population of the Bethlehem area was
Christian. Today, we are only 12%. In Israel, by contrast, we have
133,000 Christians and the figure is stable. Of course, I am worried
about the future of Christians here. Looking at the facts on the ground,
you can see that there is no future for the Christians here. We are
melting; we are disappearing. I fear the day will come when our churches
will become museums. That is my nightmare."
Samir Qumsieh, Christian Palestinian, Bet Sahour, near Bethlehem
"Israel’s
borders and territorial scope are a source of seemingly
endless debate. Remarkably, despite the intensity of the debates, little
attention has been paid to the relevance of the doctrine of uti
possidetis juris to resolving legal aspects of the border dispute. Uti
possidetis juris
is widely acknowledged as the doctrine of customary international law
that is central to determining territorial sovereignty in the era of
decolonization. The doctrine provides that emerging states presumptively
inherit their pre-independence administrative boundaries."
"Applied to the case of Israel, uti possidetis juris would
dictate that Israel inherit the boundaries of the Mandate of Palestine
as they existed in May, 1948. The doctrine would thus support Israeli
claims to any or all of the currently hotly disputed areas of Jerusalem
(including East Jerusalem), the West Bank, and even potentially the Gaza
Strip (though not the Golan Heights)."

14 in favour, with one abstention (United States). UN Photo/Manuel Elias |
Palestinian law prohibits Palestinians renting property to Jews.
President Mahmoud Abbas has stated categorically that no Jews may live
among Arabs in a new Palestinian State; the presence of Jews will be
strictly prohibited. A Palestinian State will be restricted from Jewish
habitation entirely. A Palestinian State will be prepared to offer
itself to Arabs only. Sounds like Apartheid. Good grief, it is
apartheid, is it not? Will the world's supporters of the Palestinian
'cause' do a 180-degree pivot and urge boycott-divestment-sanction
against a Palestinian state?
Yesterday, at the United Nations, that increasingly dysfunctional,
morally-absent world body a resolution condemning Israel for building
settlements in the West Bank passed unanimously. The one permanent
member of the Security Council that could have halted that resolution
from becoming official UN policy decided to abstain, which in the
circumstances acts as a vote for the resolution.
Countries that sit on the revolving Security Council are often the world's most blighted human rights abusers.
The permanent members of the UN Security Council include both Russia and
China, both of which are well known for their lack of concern over
human rights, each of which is known to engage in unofficial
extrajudicial murder. The revolving membership this year includes
Angola, Egypt, Japan, Spain, Malaysia, Ukraine, New Zealand, Senegal,
Uruguay and Venezuela. Angola, known for torture, beatings, police
action, arbitrary arrest and detention. Egypt lacks freedom of assembly,
expression and rights and liberties.
Reporters Without Borders has ranked Malaysia 147 out of 180 nations for
press freedom. Ukraine rates for violation of of the rights of
vulnerable groups and police abuse and violence. Senegal: state
corruption, rape, discrimination against women, security forces
violence, child abuse, infanticide etc. Uruguay's human rights abuse
includes the use of torture, police violence, and sexual
discrimination.Venezuela: attacks and intimidation against human rights
proponents and journalists, arbitrary detention, corruption.
Those living in glass houses don't hesitate to cast stones upon those
whose glass houses pass muster as human rights' exemplars. Where public
relations-mandated abuses against Palestinians are charged against
Israel, when Gazans suffer serious abuses at the hands of Hamas, and the
Palestinian Authority is well known to amass foreign investment meant
to support PA citizens but which are placed in personal bank accounts.
In both territories children are abused by authorities who groom them
for violent 'resistance' against 'occupation'.
That the 'occupation' is a desperate effort at defence from people whose
leaders have incited them from childhood to adulthood to hate Jews and
view the existence of the State of Israel as an assault against Arab
rights and Islamic honour, within which the tiny state which harbours
among its Jewish population of six million, several million Arab Muslims
and Christians, Kurds and Bedouin, among others with equal status as
citizens -- is deliberately overlooked.
With President Obama's decision to exercise a vituperative last-minute
administrative spite to cap his animosity toward his Israeli counterpart
whom he has always detested and acted toward with a grim-mouthed lack
of diplomacy, to slam the Jewish state for appropriating land the
international community enjoys claiming is the Palestinians' right to
claim for themselves, represents the height of rank hypocrisy. American
government 'occupation' of Guantanamo Bay in Cuba rates as a prime
example of sanctimonious territoriality.
But the U.S. is not alone among those who grasp at any opportunity to
slander Israel for its 'occupation' of 'Palestinian' land. There is
Great Britain, with its grasp of the Falkland Islands which is really
Argentina's Islas Malvinas, a grim enough territorial imperative that
rated a deadly conflict far from Britain's shores but next door to
Argentina's. Russia, yet another stalwart critic of Israel and supporter
of the Arab cause of land consecrated to Islam has nothing to explain
about Georgia, Ukraine and Kornengsberg, an ancient German city.
And nor has China whose occupation of Tibet is widely and universally
rejected to no avail, yet no condemnation in the United Nations would
make the effort to shame China on the world stage for China has the
power and the veto to prevent it. Turkey, another fan of Israel's
presence in the Middle East, has much to answer for in Cyprus, but will
not deign to, now will it be held accountable for its lethal treatment
of the Kurds whose ancestral land Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria occupy in
part, and deny to the Kurds as their rightful homeland.
This betrayal of Israel by the United States has been a long time
brewing. Israel knew full well what was in the offing, but as hope
springs eternal, the anticipation was that perhaps, just perhaps, a
moral twinge of responsibility would turn the tide at the last possible
moment. Israel, however, had no reason to hope that justice and truth
would prevail in the grand salons of the United Nations, nor that
President Obama whose antipathy toward Benjamin Netanyahu ran deep and
rank, would nonetheless choose to be fair and decent.
Four different areas of the world, Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal and
Venezuela, representing for the most part, some of the most indecent
human rights violators in their geographic areas, chose to sit in
judgement of a nation exceptionally superior to their own. East
Jerusalem, the biblical homeland and heritage of Israel, to be
commandeered once again by forces indignant that Jews might feel
entitled to reclaim that which was historically theirs and currently
open to all religions under Israeli auspices.
And yesterday, outgoing UN director-general Ban Ki-moon, who only a week
earlier, commented on the unfairness of the UN's continual resolutions
against one tiny state when egregious human rights violations conducted
by countless members of the United Nations went unnoticed with studied
oblivion, commented the following in a display of utter hypocrisy:
"The
resolution is a significant step, demonstrating the Council’s much
needed leadership and the international community’s collective efforts
to reconfirm that the vision of two States is still achievable. The
Secretary-General takes this opportunity to encourage Israeli and
Palestinian leaders to work with the international community to create a
conducive environment for a return to meaningful negotiations. The
United Nations stands ready to support all
concerned parties in achieving this goal."
That damning resolution, demonstrating the collusion between the
American administration and the Palestinian Authority will go far to
ensure that the PA will continue evading its responsibility to engage in
direct talks with Israeli negotiators to arrive at an agreement that is
fair and just for both parties. The PA will now feel entitled to
continue the path it has been engaged on, because it works for them;
direct engagement with the UN to do the work for the PA that the PA
refuses to do for itself, and as is usual with arbitrators, their
decision-making is in favour of those whom they favour.
