Advocating for the Detestation and Harm Against Members of the Israeli and Jewish Communities

"[Police allege that on May 25 and September 7, 2024, Ahmad Hassan Hajahmad, 33, attended anti-Israel demonstrations in the area of Bay Street and Front Street West], where he used amplification devices to make public statements that advocated for the detestation and harm against members of the Israeli and Jewish communities [allegedly acting] for the benefit of, and in association with, Hamas."
Toronto Police Service

"It is chilling that a Toronto man has been charged with acting for the benefit of and in association with Hamas, a banned terrorist organization.
"Governments and authorities across Canada must do more to confront those who are radicalizing people in our streets to support violence and promote terrorist organizations, and ensure police and national security agencies have the counter-terrorism resources they need to enforce the law and keep Canadians safe."
Noah Shack, CEO, Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs

"He faces a single charge arising from speaking at public demonstrations. No violence, no weapon, no one harmed. Speaking out at a protest about the killing of civilians is protected expression, not terrorism."
"The police told the media he 'advocated for detestation and harm' but he is not charged with that. We'll be looking closely at how and why this case came to be, and we're confident it won't hold up when measured against the law."
Mohamed El Rashidy, defence lawyer for the accused

The Attorney General of Ontario and the Government of Canada provided consent to the Toronto Police to proceed with the charge against Ahmad Hassan Hajahmad, resident of Toronto. Following which this man was arrested and charged with participation in or contributing to the activities of a terrorist group. One of the very such groups on Canada's terrorist list. Following his appearance before the Ontario court of justice the Toronto Police Service issued a statement.
"Due to a court-imposed publication ban, the Toronto Police Service is unable to provide further details related to this investigation."
"The Toronto Police Service thanks the RCMP's INSET for their support with this investigation."
"A joint investigation by the Toronto Police Service Hate Crime Unit and INSET subsequently gathered evidence supporting the allegation that the accused acted for the benefit of, and in association with, Hamas, a designated terrorist group."

Tensions ran high on Montreal’s downtown campuses as student activists led more than 500 protesters in support of Palestine. The rally began outside of Concordia University’s Hall building and snaked through downtown towards the McGill University campus. University Affairs

The Integrated National Security Enforcement Teams (INSET), is led by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, comprised of especially trained members of that group along with other law enforcement and national security partners at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. The proliferation of street demonstrations led by Palestinian student groups in Canada, incited and funded by foreign actors from abroad were initiated in the wake of the 7 October 2023 Palestinian terrorist incursion into southern Israel, led by Hamas.

The protesters, labelling themselves 'pro-Palestinians' cited and repeated Hamas/Palestinian claims of Israeli genocide against Palestinians even before the Israel Defense Force had entered Gaza for the distinct purpose of routing out all Hamas agents and the terrorist leaders who had planned and executed the bloody barbarism that saw Jewish girls and women gang-raped and tortured, entire families put to the torch in their homes, farming communities torn asunder, their residents butchered, and children, the elderly and infirm and other Israeli civilians in their hundreds taken hostage into Gaza.

Marching through Canadian streets and chanting 'Globalize the Intifada', 'Final Solution!', and 'Palestine will be free from the river to the sea', the protesters engaged in wildly uncivil and unlawful actions while threatening Canadian Jews in their neighbourhoods. On college and university campuses encampments were set up to harass Jewish students and to publicize Palestinian/Hamas propaganda, slandering both Israel and the Canadian Jewish population. While the targets of these wholesale discriminatory, racial events awaited police reaction and law action, it was in vain.

Jewish-owned businesses were vandalized, Jewish parochial schools shot at, synagogues fired-bombed, Jews were ostracized and abandoned, while police organized themselves to keep public order translated as separating the Palestinian supporters from smaller groups of Jews that came out to counter-protest and in so doing informed those small groups that their presence comprised a threat to public safety by inciting violence from the Palestinian-support groups lionizing Hamas's bloodbath as an understandable 'reaction' to 'occupation'.

Investigators had executed a search warrant at a Toronto residence on March 7, 2025, and there seized multiple electronic devices, we now are informed. "Investigations into criminal offences committed at demonstrations do not end when the event is over", stated Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw.
"As this investigation progressed, we worked closely with our INSET partners to pursue the terrorism charge warranted by the investigation."
These complex investigations underscore the importance of continuing to strengthen our Counter Terrorism Security Unit so we can identify and investigate evolving threats to public safety."
"We will continue to hold those who break the law accountable, no matter how long it takes."

The Perpetration of Deliberate, Unrestrained Horror -- Silenced No More

"Atrocities do not begin with the machinery of killing."
"They begin with a failure to believe victims. In the months following October 7, that failure has repeated itself with alarming speed: the silencing of testimony, the politicization of sexual violence, the grotesque inversion in which perpetrators are valourized and survivors shamed into silence."
"As Elie Wiesel taught us, silence in the face of evil is complicity with evil itself."
Irwin Cotler, human rights activist, former Canadian attorney-general

"There are moments in history that rupture the moral order by which societies define themselves."
"Moments that do more than shatter lives; they unsettle the very boundaries by which human conduct is understood."
"October 7, 2023 was such a moment."
Cochav Elkayam Levy, chairman/founder The Civil Commission

"What emerges is not a collection of isolated incidents, but a coherent and repeated pattern of violence, carried out across multiple locations and phases, from the initial attacks, through abduction and transfer, to prolonged captivity and deliberate digital circulation of abuse."
"Perpetrators recorded, livestreamed and distributed acts of abuse and torture through social media and victims' own digital accounts."
"In many cases, families first learned of the fate of their loved ones through images and videos sent by perpetrators."
Silenced No More -- October 7, 2023 Report

A report on the thorough investigation of the horrific events of 7 October 2023 has now been released; its contents seek to 'prove' to an disbelieving world that the most unbelievably barbaric, planned sadistic violence took place in southern Israel on that fateful day, violence of a nature so savagely inhumane that it becomes difficult to comprehend how any but the most profanely psychopathic of sub-humans could possibly have taken part in the mass demonstration of hell-on-Earth. And even though many of the perpetrators used body cams to videotape the atrocities that they and others were gleefully engaged in while they committed gruesome acts of bestiality, soon afterward to make them publicly available on social media, the world turned away.

Women's groups gave short shrift to the reality of the mass atrocity. The United Nations special Human Rights commission eventually expressed its dismay at Israel's response in Gaza to the October 7 Palestinian terrorist invasion. Western media shifted to questioning the commission of such atrocities in lock-step with Muslim groups denying any such event had taken place where children and women and men were systematically raped and tortured, maimed and murdered. The world's indifference and preference to cite Palestinian propaganda of victimhood and oppression justifying violence left Jews stunned and abandoned.

Over 430 interviews were conducted by the commission where survivors, witnesses, returned hostages and family members told of their experiences. A vast total of 10,000 photographs and video segment of the attack were reviewed. Recurring patterns of sexual abuse were identified in the report to establish that "The repetitions of these patterns demonstrates that their crimes were not isolated acts of brutality but formed part of a broader operational method used during the attack and its aftermath".

The 300-page report details rape, gang rape, sexual torture, intentional burning and mutilation, deliberate shots to the head, face, and genital area; killing and execution following or in conjunction with sexual and gender-based violence; post-mortem sexual abuse, humiliation, and desecration of bodies; forced nudity and exposure; handcuffing, binding, and restraint; public display and parading of women and children and the abduction of mothers and children; filming and digital dissemination of sexual and gender-based violence, including the use of social media to document, glorify and amplify the atrocities; threats of forced marriage and as well rape and other forms of sexual violence against boys and men.

A new word made its presence in the report, a word whose meaning becomes clear in consideration of acts geared to destroying the family unit through torture and other associated means where the death of a grandmother appeared on her Facebook account, a picture of a murdered son was sent to his mother, and where relatives were forced under threat of death to sexually abuse one another. The appalling lack of conscience, of humanity in carrying out and delighting in these atrocities speaks volumes of the level of hatred consuming human souls, of people who felt triumphant and proud of their inhumanity, eager to demonstrate proof of their involvement in despicably degraded acts of vicious malice.

It took 1,800 hours of visual material where researchers found evidence of sexual torture and mutilation, executions linked to sexual violence, gang rape, and sexual assaults taking place in the presence of family members. From the initial pride of nightmarish acts of inhumanity, to turning around to claim that these horribly morbid acts were perpetrated by Israelis on Palestinians typifies Palestinian propaganda-craft so welcome to some Western news sources. And so, just as the Silenced No More report reached the public so too did a hideous 'opinion piece' see publication in The New York Times, alleging rapes of Palestinian prisoners by their Israeli captors.

Moral shame is a civilizational virtue that has escaped the Palestinians and their supporters, along with much of Western legacy media, along with academic institutions and trade unions which allow their once-respected institutions to be turned into frenzied anti-Israel hotspots with accusations of 'genocide' against the world's favourite 'victims' of Israeli 'occupation' and genocidal intentions.

In one particularly harrowing example, the report details three separate incidents of rape at the site of the Nova Music Festival near the Gaza perimeter, citing a survivor who was hiding in the immediate vicinity of the attack.
“I heard one rape where they were passing her around. She was probably injured, judging by her screams—screams you have never heard anywhere,” the survivor is quoted as saying. Their account is corroborated by another survivor, according to the report, who also spoke about hearing the rapes, as well as others who later saw the bodies of the victims, their clothes torn, legs spread and intimate areas mutilated.
At least six other incidents of people directly witnessing rapes and gang rapes are outlined in the report, with all of the witnesses describing victims being shot dead. In one case, a witness said she saw a young woman being raped by several men, mutilated and shot dead.

The Palestinian Arab Convert to Judaism, Israeli Dor Shacher

"Who chose Hamas? The majority chose Hamas."
"I said to myself, 'how can it be? On one side he [his grandfather] invites them [Jewish neighbours] for food and drink, and on the other he says to kill them'. From a young age I understood something is wrong."
"But I knew the [IDF] soldiers, and they'd given me candy sometimes. They don't have one eye in the forehead -- they aren't like that. The Jews who came to the market in Khan Younis to give us food aid didn't have one eye in the forehead. The Jews who came to the weddings of our neighbours didn't have three legs or one eye in the forehead."
Ayman Abu Soobuch, Arab Muslim from Khan Younis/Dor Shacher, Israeli Jewish convert
https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.digital/nationalpost/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Dor-Shachar-1.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=564&h=423&type=webp&sig=F-1_PqjAqC_kzJMHKreAow

Ayman Abu Soobuch was born in 1977 in Khan Younis, Gaza. As a boy an episode that he found incomprehensibly puzzling led him to question the prevailing attitudes he was exposed to with respect to the neighbours of the Palestinians in the adjoining state of Israel. His grandfather after cordially inviting Jews to his home to share his Palestinian hospitality, would then turn around and urge his grandson to eventually "free the land" by killing Jews. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is known to expose Palestinian children to school curricula, children's  television programs and social media to the glories of martyrdom, to aspire to jihad.

Among the young boy's neighbours in Khan Younis were those who were to go on to distinguish themselves as fearsome terrorists dedicated to the extermination of the Jewish state and the murder of Jews, instilling the fear of  terrorism among a population they despised and as a death cult, conspired to murder. These were now-well-recognizable names like Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif and Yahya Ayyash the bombmaker. "I knew them well (as) community faces" as well as others comprising Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah and the PLO.

He was aware that among his neighbours were those who killed; among them his own brothers taking the call to jihad seriously.  There was one occasion in the open market when he witnessed Sinwar decapitating a Palestinian man whom he had accused of collaborating with Israel, as a crowd looked on and cheered. On one occasion when he was with his mother at the market they came across a head lying in the street. "They said he was suspected of co-operating with Israel". Bystanders took no note of the grotesque scene, walking by unperturbed.

In reminiscing about his early growing years in Khan Younis he recalled television programs for children urging them to "go and kill the Jews". Sheikhs in mosques shouting that the killing of Jews represented "the greatest commandment" as "Allah's will". UNRWA (the UN's United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) schools had very similar curricula informing students that Jews were "pigs dogs and infidels", undeserving of life, as monstrosities with three legs and a single eye in their forehead.
"Every child learned how to throw stones at Jews because they teach it. The teacher would tell us to go out and throw stones, then come back and open books as though we were studying. When the soldiers came, they saw little children studying. After the soldiers left, the teachers laughed -- 'these pigs, these dogs, these betrayers, these Jews, we will slaughter theme like Hitler did."
As for children's plays -- dressed as Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters, young students would act out killing of Jews. In his teens he left Khan Younis and Gaza to live in Israel, serving as a security informant for Israel, warning when terrorist events were to take place. Still Israeli Jews suspected his motives and distrusted him, despite that one Jewish Israeli decided to mentor him. Suspicions led to arbitrary arrests and the bureaucracy's unwillingness to allow him to convert to Judaism.
"Yes, it would have been easier not to be Jewish."
"Sometimes you feel hungry and you want to eat or you are thirsty and you feel thirsty and you want to drink -- it's what yo feel. That I am different: I am connected to the Jewish people."
"I wanted to be a Jew because I chose life. I chose love and not hatred. I chose love, not darkness."
In making the decision to leave Islam and embrace Judaism knowing the cost -- that he would be viewed as a traitor and worse by his family from whom he had distanced himself; from his community, which he had rejected; from the culture in which he had been raised, which he found inhumane and rejected; he was alone, an apostate. He was also living illegally in Israel and in dire poverty. When authorities in Israel discovered his presence, he was returned to Gaza.

There he spent months in a Gaza prison, beaten, electric-shocked, psychologically abused, and starved. He eventually escaped Gaza through Egypt, went on to Turkey and finally re-entered Israel on a Palestinian Authority passport. At the time of the Oslo Accords -- now Dor Shachar, an Israeli Jewish convert taking on an Israeli name -- he expressed his belief that Oslo constituted "Israel's greatest mistake", convinced that the compromise evinced by the Palestinians had metastasized to Jihad. And indeed, one Intifada followed another and with them terror attacks.

When Israel took the unilateral step of leaving Gaza, uprooting thousands of Israelis, to leave the Strip in Palestinian hands, he was dismayed, forecasting what would occur, and what in fact, did happen, with Hamas taking over the Gaza Strip from the PA in a wave of murderous assaults. His warnings to senior Israeli officials were ignored. When in 2006 Hamas was elected in a victory campaign and took up governance of Gaza he watched as cement  and iron meant for construction were waved through the border by Israeli guards, enabling an extensive tunnel network for weapons storage and terrorist-operatives haven.
"Between Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Qassam Brigades, and any other terror group, and most Palestinians in Gaza, they share the same ideas about Jews."
"And they say, Hamas will raise our head, and they will rebuild Gaza again'."
"I will tell you what will happen in the West: the worst. Look what's happening in Europe. It will happen in Canada and America. You'll see chaos."
"In Canada, you can cry out in the streets -- and say to the prime minister, 'they go, or you go!"
"I walked in my truth in order to raise our children in shalom -- in peace -- to live."
Dor Shachar, Israeli-Arab Jew
After the October 7, 2023 atrocities, as he saw Palestinian civilians joining the rampage of 6,000 terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, the PLFP and Fatah overrun the kibbutzim in southern Israel, his misgivings went even deeper. His message too the West is that 'Allahu akbar' honours Islam. "The West doesn't want to believe it's a war of faith. People in the West are afraid, and they're nice about it, because they are afraid, or they don't want to accept reality. The Israeli army must control Gaza [to prevent additional October 7s.]"

The Inversed World of Palestinianism

  • "The Nakba [Catastrophe] is not a political debate with 'two sides'. It is the foundational event of a continuous, 77-year campaign of displacement, military occupation, and colonization."
  • "[Swipe through images] to challenge the false narratives and understand the reality of the Palestinian struggle."
  • "Israeli Victim Card: As an Israeli citizen if I am accused of anything I am not criminally responsible. Any accusation against me will be fuelled by ANTI SEMITISM. If in doubt please refer to the Holocaust."
  • "Four Israeli hostages were released as part of a prisoner exchange. In stark contrast, Palestinian prisoners often return home with clear signs of physical and mental abuse, a testament to the harsh conditions they endure."
  • "As Israel faces humiliation on the battlefield against Iran, it turns its rage toward the most defenceless: the people of Gaza. In a display of cowardice and cruelty, it bombs homes, massacres families, and burns Palestinian children alive. This is not war -- it is a genocidal campaign by a colonial occupier desperate to maintain its grip through terror."                                               Canadian Palestinian Association of Manitoba (CPAM)
"It is standard museum protocol to work with advisory networks. This advisory network supported the museum in collecting the oral histories and artifacts of the Palestinian Canadians who will be featured in the exhibit [Palestine Uprooted: Nakba Past and Present]." Original response.
"This exhibit is the work of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights -- it is not a co-production with another association or organization. There is no agreement with any association for the development of this content." On second thought.
Amanda Gaudes, spokesperson, Canadian Museum for Human Rights

A new exhibit on the Nakba, recounting the personal experiences of Canadian Palestinians who fled or were forced from their homes in 1948, is coming to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. However, at least one Jewish organization is concerned it will lack historical and current geopolitical context.  CBC

What irony, the founder of the museum, Israel Asper, visualized its purpose to speak to the world of the horrors of the Holocaust, that it never be forgotten as a signal event in the mid-20th century when state-driven genocide alongside a world war contrived to dehumanize European Jewry on their way to total annihilation. The museum has undergone a change in purpose from highlighting real instances of monumental human rights abuses to become a showpiece for propaganda against Israel, the Jewish state that rose on its ancestral geography from the ashes of six million lives -- half the world's entire Jewish population.

Canada, through immigration, refugee intake from war-torn Middle East and North African countries, and illegal migration, has become a cesspool of Jew-hate. Its rise accelerated by the savagery of the 7 October, 2023 flood of Palestinian terrorists into southern Israel from Gaza on a mission to destroy, sadistically terrorize and rape, mutilate and murder 1,200 mostly civilians, comprised of infants, children, the elderly, in farming communities close to the Gaza border. Slaughtered also were foreign farm workers, who were also taken hostage along with Israeli children, their parents, young adults from a music festival and soldiers.

Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fatah and other terrorist operatives along with Palestinian civilians took pride in their atrocities, to the extent of documenting their acts of inhumanity on videos they later posted to social media. Their crimes included burning families alive, mass rapes, mutilation of girls and women amidst the rapes, forcing children to witness their parents being tortured and parents forced to watch their children tortured and murdered. All atrocities that Palestinians later claimed Israelis perpetrated on them.

Apologists for Palestinian 'victimhood' in the international community find reasons to overlook the barbarity, with claims that inhumane occupation made for desperate acts of people seeking freedom. Palestinians always had the freedom to choose their own destinies, but they mired themselves solidly in the self-serving delusion that the land on which Israel stood was theirs, resulting in constant murderous attacks on Jews at the very same time they portrayed themselves as victims and Jews their oppressors. In refusing a state alongside that of the Jews, Palestinians held out for destroying Israel and taking all the land -- ancient Judean patrimony.

Bringing their lurid grievances with them to Canada, Palestinians and their Muslim-Canadian supporters ply the fiction of victim and oppressor, denying that the atrocities of October 7 took place, irrespective of the much-celebrated videos depicting the horrors, and convincing a wide audience across the world of their 'cause'; being refused a Palestinian state of their own after turning down one Israeli negotiated proposal after another for a state in exchange for recognition of Israel's sovereign presence.

That the Canadian Museum for Human Rights has become yet another Canadian institution that supports the 'rights' of Palestinians to what they claim is theirs, and mourning the existence of the state of Israel as an instrument of Palestinian oppression, now engaged in 'genocide' after depriving Palestinians of their state, is yet another milestone for the public relations machinery that grinds away at the legitimacy of the Jewish state, along with that of Canadian Jews, monstrously slandered and threatened and isolated in the very country they have lived in for centuries.

The world is willing to acknowledge the 750,000 Palestinians who fled with the re-establishment of Israel in 1948, yet is totally disinterested in the 850,000 Arabized Jews who lived for a millennia and more in Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa who were exiled, their properties and goods taken from them in 1948. The Jews were never considered refugees, were never compensated, never given assistance from the United Nations. The Arab Palestinians, on the other hand, were given the eternal status of refugees, fully financially and politically supported by the United Nations.

Toronto, Violating Jewish Residents' Trust and Security

"I don't think that three years ago, anybody would dream that such a thing would happen."
"The idea that a person that lives at Bathurst and Steeles [in the heart of the Jewish community in Toronto] would say, 'I don't know if I want you to put a menorah back because I'm afraid', is terrible, and obviously more has to be done."
"They feel violated, that such a thing should happen literally at the door of their home."
Rabbi Mendel Zaltzman

"There is no excuse for targeting people because they are Jewish."
"Toronto cannot look the other way while seniors are intimidated in their hallways."
"[The incident was] an act of hate directed at Jewish residents -- seniors who deserve safety, stability, and dignity."
City Councillor James Pasternak

"The permissive nature of the City's response to the rising levels of incitement and intimidation aimed at the Jewish community continues to embolden those who wish to target Jewish Torontonians."
"Now, it is a group of Jewish seniors who appear to be paying the price for the inaction of our municipal leaders."
"The inability to protect our elderly is a sign of the further decay of our society."
B'nai Brith Canada

"This is a public supportive housing building for seniors. They deserve to live in peace without fear of being targeted for being Jewish."
"I will be reaching out to TSCH [Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation]leadership to investigate how this could happen."
Olivia Chow, Mayor of Toronto
https://i.cbc.ca/ais/808c0a6e-d90a-4cc8-89ac-b7f94bbdb64f,1765205771493/full/max/0/default.jpg?im=Crop%2Crect%3D%280%2C378%2C4032%2C2268%29%3BResize%3D860
Toronto police say they received reports Sunday that about 20 mezuzahs had been stolen over the weekend from a Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation building near Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue W. (Robert Krbavac/CBC)

Mayor Chow need not trouble herself with this kind of sanctimonious statement. There is no need for her to 'reach out' to the  housing corporation. If she were truly concerned over the incident where someone ripped mezuzahs from the doorways of senior citizens who happen to be Jewish, living in a supportive housing complex in her municipality, she need go no further than the nearest mirror. In that mirror she would see reflected the face of authority who has gone out of her way to leave Jewish Torontonians to their own protective devices.

While mouthing the usual tch-tchs about antisemitism, she has displayed it amply on her own account. As the highest elected authority in the municipality whose job it is to ensure equality of security of all residents, she had but to instruct the Toronto Police Force to act in accordance with the law in reacting to  'protest' gatherings clearly flouting civil law, that target Jews. As Mayor of all the people of Toronto she might have thought it a requirement to attend not only Muslim events but those of the Jewish community as well; certainly including a memorial for the 7 October tragedy.

Rabbi Zaltzman, the CEO of the Jewish-Russian Community Centre of Ontario explained that the seniors targeted at the  North York apartment building are for the most part members of the Russian Jewish community. Residents were shocked and dismayed and fearful when they realized that their mezuzahs, an icon of their faith, had been ripped off their doorways. They were left with the impression of having been violated; their trust in their security, in the acceptance of the larger community betrayed.

Since the 2023 October 7 terrorist attack in southern Israel when Palestinian terror groups from Gaza led by Hamas rampaged through Israeli farm communities, shooting people at will, raping, torturing, destroying and looting, in a massacre that claimed over 1,200 lives of Israeli civilians; infants, the elderly, foreign farm workers, butchering young Jews attending a Nova music festival and taking 250 children, families, the elderly, soldiers captive into Gaza as hostages, Canadian cities, and in particular Toronto and Montreal burst into a celebration of 'Palestinian' rights.

Where crowds of Palestinian-inspired Canadian Muslims, leftist groups and pure unadulterated Jew-haters occupied the streets with loudspeakers vilifying Israel, calling for a global Intifada, shouting at Canadian Jews to 'go back to Poland', chanting 'Final Solution', and 'Palestine will be free from the river to the sea'; code for the destruction of Israel. Jewish students from elementary to high school to universities were harassed, Jewish shopkeepers had their buildings vandalized.

And Mayor Chow, at a speech to the National Council of Canadian Muslims at a fundraising gala, referenced "the genocide in Gaza". This, at a time when 40 percent of all hate crimes in Toronto, according to a police report, targeted Jews. Toronto is the site of 60 percent of antisemitic incidents in Ontario schools, according to a government report. The Kehillat Shaarei Torah synagogue was attacked for the  tenth time.

The religious/cultural symbolism of mezuzahs bring comfort to Jews who usually place them on an upright beam of a doorway, signifying that 'a Jew lives here'. Devout Jews may kiss the mezuzah entering and leaving a home. These are small metal hollow lozenges with Hebrew letters and design impressed on their surfaces, and within the hollow of each one is a sacred scroll with a prayer. Their theft strikes a blow to those elderly people whose doors and themselves were targeted.

Because mezuzahs were so commonly identifiable that many non-Jews during the first year of the pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas 'protests', left many Jewish families living in fear of violence potentially perpetrated against them as the protesters' threats implied, that they themselves removed their prized symbols, hoping to avoid threatening encounters. That fear had subsided to an extent, but the recent theft of the symbols of Judaism have reminded Canadian Jews of their vulnerability in a city which once meant security and inclusion.

The Bonds Between Hateful Antisemites

"The founding of the Jewish state in response to the indescribable evil of the Holocaust against Jewish humanity produced dispossession and domination of Palestinian peoples."
"This sad paradox of  how a terrorized and traumatized people for two thousand years -- precious Jewish people -- reproduced terror and trauma for precious Palestinian people in the last seventy-five years reveals our human wretchedness."
Dr. Cornel West, academic media commentator, failed U.S. presidential candidate; "non-Marxist socialist"

"[In support of] Palestinian state recognition, justice for kids facing unfair consequences for supporting Palestine, sanctions on the Netanyahu government, a two-way arms embargo on the IDF."
National Council of Canadian Muslims
NCCM to host Cornel West
The NCCM lists Cornel West as the keynote speaker for its November 1 fundraising gala in the Greater Toronto Area. (Photo: NCCM.)

The man who describes the United States -- where he is a citizen -- as a "racist patriarchal" state infused with white supremacy, and views the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a struggle between oppressors and oppressed, has been invited to Canada by the National Council of Canadian Muslims as a guest speaker, inviting all those interested to join them on November 1 for "an evening with Dr. Cornel West to learn, be inspired and support the fight against Islamophobia and racism in Canada".

This is the man who issued a press release on October 7, 2023 addressing the attack on southern Israel by Hamas terrorists: "on the Jewish Sabbath, on the day when the festival of Sukkot reaches its conclusion and Jewish siblings around the globe celebrate Simchat Torah" when an unspeakably murderous rampage occurred...calling for an "end to the illegal occupation of Palestinians" and "immediate cessation of all violence" ostensibly committed by the Israel Defense Forces.

"The painful truth is that the Israeli state -- like like the USA -- has been racist in practice since its inception", he wrote. Little wonder this man is admired and respected by the National Council of Canadian Muslims, among many if not most Muslim groups that advocate for the 'rights' of Palestinians and agitate for the destruction of the Jewish state.

A man, after all, who is capable of seeming to commiserate with the Jewish community which has suffered deathly torment throughout the millennia of its existence. But, clear-eyed to the underlining racism he identifies in his great wisdom, that Jews generate in their sinister aspirations to control the world. A classic antisemite, with an interesting twist.

"The U.S. government, the Israeli government and the occupied Hamas forces have blood on their hands", he avers. The October 7 mass atrocity was described by this man a day later as the "desperate language of an occupied people". Obvious to his acute reasoning that Gaza's rulers had no option but to use deathly violence to oppose the Jewish state whose military is occupied in defending its population against terrorist violence.

The same kind of Byzantine reasoning that sees pro-Hamas protests since October 7, calling for globalizing the intifada, and 'death to Jews'.

Cornel West

For Shame, Canada

"[The actions of the Netanyahu government] were explicitly designed to end any possibility of a state of Palestine, in violation of the UN charter and going against Canadian government policy of whatever political stripe since 1947."
"[The conferred recognition does not compromise Canada's support] for the State of Israel, its people, and their security -- [which can only] be guaranteed through the achievement of a comprehensive two-state solution."
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney

"We've let terrorist organizations turn our country into an ATM, but the leader of the only Jewish state in the world isn't welcome here."
"Make it make sense."
Casey Babb, senior fellow, Macdonald-Laurier Institute

"What?"
"Hamas thanked Carney when he derailed a peace proposal on the eve of a trade deal deadline with the U.S.A."
"Now Hamas is publicly executing competing Palestinian factions. But [Mark Carney] tells Bloomberg he would arrest PM Netanyahu?"
"Astonishing!"
Conservative Member of Parliament Roman Baber

In November of 2024 at the instigation of South Africa -- no friend of Israel -- the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israel's prime minister, alleging that he was "responsible for the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population" of Gaza, initiated on October 8, 2023.

Of course, to place matters in their proper perspective, the day prior to the Israel Defense Forces entering Gaza for the direct purpose of confronting and destroying the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas had directed four thousand of its operatives, along with those of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fatah (PA) followed by several thousand Palestinian civilians to embark on a surprise assault on Israeli border communities in a paroxysm of unspeakable savagery, raping, mutilating, murdering and taking hundreds of hostages back into Gaza.

For its part, Hamas was prepared to sacrifice the lives of as many Palestinians as it would take to arouse the condemnation of the West to fever pitch while orchestrating those Palestinian deaths by placing themselves directly within the crowded precincts of Gaza's civilian population, including sending rockets off into Israel using launchers placed near mosques, schools and public housing, to draw Israeli fire to areas that would result in the greatest possible civilian deaths.

Numbers used by Hamas as publicity to feature Palestinians as victims of Israeli aggression to achieve 'genocide' against Palestinians, in the process inflating the numbers of those injured and dealt death as collateral damage in the Israeli response to the invasion of Israel by Palestinian terrorists resulting in 1,200 deaths and 250 captive Israelis, dead and alive spirited into Gaza as hostages. Hamas public affairs portrayed a huge death toll of Palestinian civilians peculiarly comprised mostly of women and children, numbers unquestioningly repeated by the Western press.

Lending fodder to the thousands of Palestinian supporters and Islamist Muslims living in the West who embarked on astonishingly well-organized protests against Israeli aggression, calling for a Palestinian state 'from the river to the sea', and a global intifada uprising against Jews, along with a 'Final Solution'. The atrocities committed by Palestinian terrorists for the past 80 years, their constant violent agitation and lethal attacks against Israel and its civilian population have been well documented, leaving Israel little choice but to be on constant alert against further attacks. No other country in the world has laboured to uphold its right to existence as has Israel.

Yet countries like the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, France and Canada among others condemn Israel for a 'disproportionate' response to bloody terror, and in this latest mass atrocity have seen fit during the two-year conflict between Israel and Hamas, Hezbollah, Yemen's Houthis and Iran, to demand that Israel withdraw from Gaza without accomplishing its existential goals of finally defeating the hate/and/death cult that has ravaged Israel for much too long.

Asked in an interview with British journalist Mishal Husain on Friday in a 37-minute episode whether Canada's Carney would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on the ICC warrant, should he ever appear in Canada, Carney responded in the affirmative. This, following an earlier statement that Canada committed to recognizing a Palestinian state, eliciting at the time a note of appreciation to Canada from Hamas. The end goal, stated Carney "is a free and viable Palestinian state living side by side, peace and security, with the state of Israel".

Canada would will that to be. Despite that the Palestinian leadership and the Palestinian population envision a one-state 'solution' to the presence of Israel on its own ancestral land, which the Arab Palestinians claim as solely their inheritance. Time and again, from 1947 when the first UN plan for Partition was refused by the Palestinians and grasped with gratitude by Israel, the Palestinian rejected all overtures for conciliation and the solution of two states side by side.

"You're going to have to keep up the pressure on the Israeli government to achieve a Palestinian state living side by side with a secure Israel", responded Husain. "Justin Trudeau (Carney's predecessor) said that Canada would honour the International Criminal Court arrest warrants i.e., Benjamin Netanyahu would be arrested if he came to Canada. Does that stand under your leadership", asked Husain.

"Yes", said Carney. "You'd be prepared to do that?" Husain probed.
"Yes", said the Canadian prime minister.

Historical Wrecking Balls

"We will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make."
"Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."
U.S. President George W. Bush, post 9/11

"Canada condemns Israel's strikes in Qatar -- an intolerable expansion of violence and an affront to Qatar's sovereignty."
"Regardless of their objectives, such attacks pose a grave risk of escalating conflict throughout the region, and directly imperil efforts to advance peace and security, secure the release of all hostages, and achieve a lasting ceasefire -- efforts in which Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani plays a highly constructive role."
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney

In 2001, Canada, all the Western world, NATO and the United Nations were 'with' the United States. The international community, those most tied to the United States as democratic allies sent their military forces, their diplomats and NGOs arrived to provide humanitarian services in 2001 when Afghanistan was invaded after its Taliban leaders refused to surrender al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, responsible for the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon and the overpowered terrorists that led to another plane crash in Pennsylvania.

Britain, Spain and France all experienced their own Islamist terror attacks, when the world became familiar with the rise of  'political', 'radicalized' Islam. But no country has ever experienced the level and number of attacks that Israel  has been exposed to -- by its neighbour-states and by terrorist groups fostered, armed, trained and funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Shia theocracy has its laser focus on Israel's destruction, and has never been modest in airing that ambition even in the hallowed chambers of the United Nations whose function is to promote peace among nations.

Iran is supported in its aspiration of genocidal obliteration of Jews by Qatar, which acts as a covert bland buffer between the Republic and its Sunni majority neighbours, while presenting itself as a trusted intermediary to the West. Qatar's vast oil-resourced treasury serves as a silver salver to entree in the United States, funding universities and supporting the infiltration of a fellow Islamist generator of antisemitic assaults among the large and growing Muslim diaspora settling in the West, the Muslim Brotherhood.

Qatar has dedicated itself to the stealth promotion of terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, in tandem with the Islamic Republic of Iran. More latterly, Turkey, a risible member of NATO, has joined them in their nefarious schemes against Israel. Both Turkey and Qatar have shielded Islamist terrorism, given them haven, described them as loyal servants of Islam, upholding its most sacred precepts. The Palestinian Authority has done likewise, but it is in sharp competition with Hamas for leadership of the Palestinians.

Israel, on the other hand, has since its re-emergence as a Jewish state on the geographic terrain of its ancestral heritage, has been forced repeatedly to emphasize its right of existence by defending itself militarily and in the process defeating its regional enemies. The attacks, once conducted by states now reconciled to Israel's indomitable presence, have been dominated by death-cult groups whose focus is trained solely on Israel's dismemberment while the Muslim Brotherhood and indeed Iran/Qatar have longer-range missions; world domination in the name of Islam, the 'religion of peace'.

And it is the Islamist powers that Canada, France, Spain, Ireland, Britain, Norway, Australia and others cater to. Not only because they fail to look behind and beyond the facade spoonfed them by skilled propagandists, but as a result of having been flooded by emigrants, migrants and refugees from the Islamic world who now constitute in numbers a powerful incentive to cater to them as a voting bloc. They take seriously Qatar's presentation as a skilled mediator in talks between embattled Israel and the Palestinian terror group Hamas whose leaders reside in palatial comfort far from the fray while dictating to the Palestinian population to remain defiant (as does certainly the Palestinian Authority/Fatah/Mahmoud Abbas) and accept their sublime fate as martyrs for Islam.

It is these sanctimonious actors presenting themselves as innocent of any sinister, underhanded plans to disrupt the West, to replace democracy and rule of law with Islamist Sharia law, while in practise inciting hate and suspicion and infecting a wide segment of the West with the viral affliction of violent antisemitism that have gained the support of those who -- as defenders of Judeo-Christian values should be alert to the danger posed -- cite Israel and its presence in the Middle East as the problem, and have abandoned Israel and their own national Jewish populations to a fate they cannot contemplate, soon to arrive on their own shores.

Qatar's Emir is furious that Israel attacked Doha for the purpose of using stealth bombers to pinpoint the presence of elite leaders of Hamas and eliminate them. Invoking the sanctity of the state against attacks on its sovereignty, he is adamant that the international community must sanction and punish Israel for this violation of international law. In fact, international law fully supports such an attack on any country that harbors and shields terrorists threatening another nation. Even so, Qatar's Emir has the ear of those like Canada's Prime Minister Carney, eager to support Qatar and condemn Israel.

The Case for Recognition by Canada of Palestinian Statehood

"[Canada recognizing Palestinian statement] at this time [would be a] grave mistake."
"Such a step would amount to an unconscionable reward for the heinous Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 -- an attack marked by mass murder and the brutal kidnapping of innocent civilians, including Canadian citizens."
"Rather than advancing peace, it would legitimize violence and severely undermine international efforts to restore stability and security in the region."
Embassy of Israel in Canada

"[Recognition would] set in stone for Canadians he rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination."
"Accountability means everything to the Palestinian people. That's all we are looking for."
"Canada could have done better and must do better."
"We’ve been very close, before the [April federal] election, to the recognition."
"We’ve seen stronger, clearer statements since the Carney government took office. There is less two sides-ism, less not naming the perpetrator of the crime."
"[Comments Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand made in May describing Israel’s military campaign as] aggression caused against the Palestinian and the Gazan people in Palestine. [Citing] Palestine [rather than the Palestinian territories]."
Mona Abuamara, chief representative, Palestinian General Delegation to Canada

"Can there be a lasting peace in the Middle East without peace in Gaza, that takes into account Gaza and West Bank and effectively working on a path to a Palestinian State?"
"I would agree with all of those. [Palestinians] living side by side in security Israel -- a Zionist, if you will, Palestinian state that recognizes the right of Israel not just to exist, but to prosper and not live in fear -- we can't have peace unless we move towards that."
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney

According to Ms. Abuamara, talks with other countries, recently one between Canada, Qatar and Mexico, help to move Canada toward recognition of Palestinian statehood. She anticipates talks continuing with the re-scheduling of the cancelled United Nations conference to be organized by France and Saudi Arabia. With the conference in session, she feels, conversations on how that goal might be achieved will commence.

It's difficult to square her remarks on the importance of 'accountability' to the Palestinian people, when she appears incapable of addressing the issue of ongoing violent attacks by her people, with its leaders inciting Palestinians to violent actions against Israel and its people, but referring to Israel as the enemy and the perpetrator of violence against Palestinians, apparently with no reason other than the inconsequential need to protect Israelis from constant lethal attacks by those who identify themselves as victims.

She had informed The Canadian Press of her impression that Canada is moving closer to formal recognition of Palestinian statehood. Her role as representative in Canada since 2021 is to promote and tighten relations between Palestinians and Canada. Her four-year appointment was at the pleasure of a government that controls the West Bank, not the Gaza Strip.

She has recently commended Canada for its use of late of "tougher language". she is absorbed in her pursuit of convincing the Canadian government to take a harsher stance on Israel's actions in Gaza. In May of 2024 the federal government under the Liberal rein of prime minister Justin Trudeau stated it is "prepared to recognize a Palestinian state at the time most conducive to lasting peace, not necessarily as the last step along the path to achieving the two-state solution".

For its part, Israel has pushed back firmly on Palestinian statehood calls from within the international community, stating the obvious that seems to elude those attempting to make a case for Palestinian statehood, that the territories have divided leadership and Hamas and Fatah both operate corrupt governments, refusing to hold elections. Most tellingly, both have supported terrorists.
"I think Palestinians should have all the powers to govern themselves, but none of the powers to threaten us and that means that certain powers, like overall security, will always remain in our hands."
"After October 7th, people said the Palestinians have a state, a Hamas state in Gaza, and look what they did with it."
"They didn't build it up. They built down into bunkers, into terror tunnels after which they massacred our people."
"So people aren't likely to say, 'Let's just give them another state'. It'll be a platform to destroy Israel."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
